Vega 2030

As we look to the future, we see Vega as a museum vessel exhibiting the Finnish shipbuilding tradition and reminding us of the history of the war indemnities. The Vega foundation further aims to build a modern museum, an exhibition hall around Vega in the historical milieu of Old Harbour area in Jakobstad.

The Vega Foundation has let architect Sirpa Luoma from LAAJA Architects Ab make a plan for an exhibition hall and a workshop for the schooner Vega. Here you can see some of the scetches!
